Malta Summer 2021

In the middle of an intensive working summer, I needed a break - and could afford only a week. After looking around what new I could discover, I stumbled on a cheap ticket to Malta - available for exatly the dates I wanted. So I took it as a “sign” - TO GO! Malta is a small island 80 km south of Sicily, the smallest EU country and the one with probably the oldest history and the oldest buildings - starting from 5600 years old Ġgantija. It is full of absulutly stunnig things to do. So let’s see what it has in a pocket for me!

Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday July 31, 2021) late arrival to Marsaxlokk

Day 2 (Sunday August 1, 2021) - Marsaxlokk Sunday fish market - Ghar Dalam - Borg in-Nadur - St Peters Pool - Tarxien Temples Temples - Valetta

Day 3 (Monday August 2, 2021) - Hypogeum, Blue Grotto, Hagar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, Skorba and Ta'Hagret Temples, and ferry to Gozo

Day 4 (Tuesday, August 3, 2021) - boat day trip in Gozo and Comino islands

Day 5 (Wednesday August 4, 2021) saline at sunrise - Ta Pinu - Ġgantija Temple - Ta’ Kola Windmill - Ramla Beach - Il Castel

Day 6 (Thursday August 5, 2021) - ferry back to Malta - Rabat and Mdina - Dingli cliffs

Day 7 (Friday August 6, 2021) - Valetta (St. John's Co-Cathedral, National Museum of Archaeology, Fort St Elmo) - Sliema

Day 8 (Saturday August 7, 2021) - Harbor cruise with Captian Morgan - departure
